Jennie began her copywriting career in 1997 at McCann Erickson, Seattle, cutting her teeth on accounts like Washington Mutual Bank, Washington Apple Commission, Washington Lottery and Experience Music Project (also in Washington.) In 2000. she left to explore the constant state of panic that is freelance, working on clients like Amazon, Starbucks and Microsoft and sitting at random desks in most major agencies in Seattle. In 2003, she joined WONGDOODY as Sr. Copywriter where she created award-winning work for Alaska Airlines, Museum of Flight, Washington State Department of Health, and the Seattle International Film Festival. Throw in a long freelance stint in the middle where most people thought she never left, and then Jennie officially rejoined WONGDOODY in 2016 as a Creative Director on Papa Murphy's Pizza and Litehouse Foods Accounts. She now oversees Les Schwab Tires, Sound Credit Union and the voice and tone of The Motherboard, WONGDOODY’S own mom-focused agile insights platform.
Shiny awards include One Show, Communication Arts, Addys, Effies, Emmys, OBIES, lesser awards ending in “ies”, New York Festivals, Radio Mercury Awards, London Int’l Advertising Awards, Clios, thousands of horse show ribbons and an Excellent Penmanship Award from Issaquah Valley Elementary.
Jennie is also known for her happy, easy-going personality. Except for that one time (above) when she got super fake pissed and flipped over a fake table.
