Bathroom stalls, supply closets, a chair in the corner of a convention meeting room? Yep, all true stories.
When 60% of working moms don’t have suitable places to pump or adequate break time, something needs to change. So we encouraged pumping moms to share their horror stories, tagged with #IPumpedHere, and joined forces with MomsRising to spread the word about a simple right that benefits moms, employers, and hungry babies.
The results were over 13,000 stories shared, companies everywhere pledging to provide a proper pumping room for moms, and a signed petition taken to Capitol Hill. The campaign also laid the groundwork for the federal PUMP for Nursing Mother’s Act signed into law in 2022, and closed a massive loophole to protect 9 million working mothers of childbearing age with lactation laws.
